So are you getting up at 4:00 AM to watch the live coverage of big wedding, the Royal Wedding. As a royal I’m a bit confused about all the hoopla over this royal wedding. At my royal wedding there was no paparazzi, or live pre-wedding coverage.
Now don’t get me wrong while I am really pleased that my royal family has been able to fly somewhat under the radar, it is amazing. Charles and Kate are on every channel and in every magazine and they are part of a tiny royal family, that has mostly figure head status in a very small kingdom. The soverign in my Royal family is the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. The entire universe and all that is in it is under his control.
He has declared me to be an heir of that Kingdom, a member of the Royal household.
29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:29 (NIV)
But before you forget – if you are a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ you too are a member of the Royal Family!
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
You think the pomp of London is grand, just look at my sovereign:
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.
12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.
13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great.”
Revelation 19:11-18 (NIV)
Ah Royalty – this is the life!
